This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Plant Pathology & Environmental Microbiology is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Senior Support) . The assistant will be the main contact and responsible for the organization of seminar activities to include assisting host with itinerary, speaker travel arrangements, make any reservations for hotel, conference room, and meals.
Responsibilities include:
Arrange luncheons with graduate students.
Prepare seminar announcement and distribute via web, print & email as well as technology setup, stream and record seminar and post to website.
Prepare, process, update, compile and maintain documents, databases, records, and reports.
Assist with the compiling of routine written correspondence and newsletter.
Create and maintain files, databases and reports.
Maintain and update digital display and website content along with mailing lists & listservs and conduct mass mailings.
Strategize, formulate, and implement data acquisition, maintenance and retention.
Develop articles and coordinate photos for website, newsletters, display, and external news articles.
Process, catalog, shelve and circulate books, thesis, and periodicals purchased for or donated to Hildebrandt Library.
Compile inventories for audiovisual materials.
Maintain EndNote and web-based lists of library’s collection.
Increase access to departmental and other information support in library research, information dissemination, and digital resource development and management.
Develop and maintain various technical library information databases to support library and department.
Provide analysis, consultation, evaluation and implementation for data mapping processes used for library collection.
Develop and monitor standard library policies and practices.
Oversee policies and procedures for ordering, receiving, circulating, preserving and updating library collections to include preparing journals for binding.
Maintain and monitor digital image collection.
Supervise activities of graduate students engaged in enlarging digital image collection.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Associate Degree 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 – $61,000.00.
