Job Description:

Provide comprehensive administrative support services to the Director of Teacher Education, full-time and part-time faculty members within Future Educators Academy (FEA), and to other FEA constituents when needed. Serve as front-line staff member to respond, by applying specialized knowledge, to student, faculty, or staff members’ needs related to FEA. Help to maintain positive and professional image of FEA at all times. Accurate and timely data entry of FEA schedule. Collaborate effectively with other academic divisions and departments throughout the College while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $32,524.00-$43,907.00. Salary will be commensurate with competencies and experience. This position is restricted with funding through June 30, 2029. The position is classified staff and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies. Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in an office setting where public-facing duties and effective communication skills are required on a regular basis.
Extensive knowledge of MS Office—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to learn PeopleSoft, eVA, and other internal systems required for the office to function effectively.
Effective oral communication, written communication, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, think critically, multi-task, and problem-solve.
Ability to work effectively and to maintain exemplary customer service with a multitude of diverse personalities, including with high school students, parents, school partners, College colleagues in all departments, and community members.
Availability to be flexible and available, on occasion outside of M-F/9-5 business day.
Additional Considerations:

Proven subject matter knowledge, which may be evidenced by training, experience, and/or credentials prefererd.
Previous work experience in a higher-education setting preferred.
Demonstrated experience providing excellent oral communication, written communication, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills preferred.
Experience using PeopleSoft preferred.
