Administrative Asst III
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) department seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Administrative Assistant III in the Interest List Management (ILM) Unit. Under the supervision of the Interest List Management Supervisor, the position will perform complex (journey-level) administrative support work that will serve as a direct report to the Interest List Supervisor. This position will support unit staff. Work involves internal administrative support activities such as compiling and disseminating information for various waiver programs, interest list responses and distribution, monitoring the RightFax shared mailbox and distributing interest list release documents to the appropriate staff, submitting and tracking inventory requests related to interest list weekly mass notification mailouts and waiver releases, handling and transporting documents and inventory, maintaining files, monitoring incoming mail. Receive, scan, and distribute high volumes of incoming mail. Coordinate meetings, type meeting agenda and notes, performance evaluations, and other documents to support work of the unit and files related documents. The Administrative Assistant III must routinely update management. This position is responsible for keeping management abreast of unit administrative activities, including providing monthly and quarterly reports which document supply volumes and weekly updates on the progress of administrative activities related to mass mailouts. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Initial Selection Criteria:
Preferred experience handling a high volume of assignments in a short period of time. Require ability or experience with various types of computer equipment and software, including Outlook Word and Excel.

SALARY NOTE: The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum allowable by state law. Any employment offer is contingent upon available budgeted funds. The offered salary will be determined in accordance with budgetary limits and requirements of HHSC.
