Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy.
Proficient with various software and productivity tools (Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, copier, scanner, etc.).
Ability to forge and sustain effective and productive working relationships between various members of teams and work groups, interacting with colleagues in a courteous manner, using good judgement and initiative to support overall goals.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain focus while dealing with frequent interruptions.
Prior experience handling sensitive or confidential information.
At least 2 years of experience in an administrative office setting.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience in a higher education environment.
Knowledge of Texas State University policies and procedures.
Experience in an executive level office.
Experience in technical writing.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant III provides daily administrative and operational support for the Texas State University Information Security Office (ISO). This position provides support to the Chief Information Security Officer and their staff and the general operations of the office suite. Additionally, this position monitors, tracks, and communicates deadlines and other information; maintains logs and coordinates equipment inventory; collaborates and communicates with other offices/constituents on a variety of matters; prepares correspondence, documents, forms, travel and purchase requisitions; providing general office suite support; coordinates logistics for meetings and performs event management duties.

Job Duties
The Administrative Assistant III performs a wide variety of administrative tasks to support the Information Security Office including:
Manage routine and efficient operation of the ISO and the general operations of the office suite, including; answering and screening calls; providing information and assistance to requests for information.
Monitor and respond to office e-mail accounts and inquiries.
Schedule, organize, and plan for meetings and events; prepare agendas and meeting materials; assist with managing various calendars.
Monitor and communicate timelines and deadlines to ensure they are met and communicate changes to appropriate individuals.
Investigate and answer inquiries and aid in resolving issues.
Assist in composing and proofreading various documents and correspondence.
Develop and maintain office files and logs to ensure accurate information; document processes and keep them current.
Manage records in accordance with University records retention rules.
Safeguard confidential information exercising judgement and discretion.
Oversee student worker(s) including schedule coordination, training, and daily assignments.
Prepare and submit travel documents and purchase requisitions; verify documents for accuracy.
Coordinate arrangements for internal and external cybersecurity events including planning, room reservations, and event set up/clean up.
Interact with senior administrative offices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
