Position Overview
The Administrative and Operations Coordinator will serve as a pivotal member of the Health Equity Compact, a newly established, mission-driven nonprofit organization. This dynamic position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative movement advancing health equity across Massachusetts. The Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting daily operations, internal communications, and the execution of strategic initiatives that drive impact.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and values-driven, with a deep commitment to health equity, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for building the infrastructure that enables social change. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations and Executive Support Coordinator will play a crucial role in strengthening the internal backbone of the Compact, enabling the team to focus on advancing policy, partnerships, and community- centered solutions.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
● Experience: 4+ years in operations, administration, or project management, ideally in nonprofits or startups.
● Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize, balance multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience drafting materials and reports.
● Independence: Ability to work independently, be self-directed, resourceful, and accountable for workflows and products.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and willingness to learn new tools.
● Project Management: Experience with tools like Asana, Trello, or Slack preferred.
● Judgment & Problem Solving: Sound decision-making, initiative, adaptability, and critical
thinking.
● Interpersonal Skills: Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to build strong relationships.
● Justice Mindset: Committed to health equity and social justice as well as diversity,
equity, and fostering an inclusive work environment.
Compensation
The compensation range is $50,000 – $65,000 based on qualifications and experience. This position includes generous time off and great benefits (paid vacation, sick time, holidays, health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, and retirement).
Hybrid Work Environment
This position is generally remote work with regular team meetings in greater Boston and occasional in-person meetings across the state.

The Health Equity Compact (the “Compact”) is a group of over 85 leaders of color who aim to advance health equity together in Massachusetts. Compact members comprise high-level executives and experts from diverse health, business, labor, and philanthropic organizations, including hospitals, health centers, payers, academic institutions, life sciences companies, and public health organizations.
