Our client, a local pension office, is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant, Pension and Benefits to bring their exceptional customer service skills to the table.
Responsibilities include:
Providing exceptional customer service via phone and in-person, responding to member inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Assisting members with pension and benefits-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate information.
Managing administrative tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, monthly Sage reconciliation, and pension contribution/payout reviews.
Preparing and submitting annual filings and regulatory reports to relevant authorities (CRA, OSFI, FSRA).
Performing day-to-day operations for two pension plans, ensuring smooth plan administration.
Developing knowledge of pension plan procedures and taking on additional responsibilities as expertise grows.
Minimum qualifications:
1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with accounting software such as Sage or Quick Books.
Completion of an Accounting Diploma is considered an asset.
Previous experience with investments is considered an asset.

Compensation: $97 per hour based on experience.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexible start times between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm (35 hours per week).
