This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This position is located at 8512 Bush St. Raleigh, NC 27609.This position (NC DAC Comprehensive Health Services Section involves utilization of the full range of administrative & social work skills. The person in this position will be required to possess an advanced level of understanding and knowledge of the disability determination process for NC Medicaid as well as a familiarity with the structure and function of the NCDAC/DOP. Specialized skills necessary for success in this position require a current and continuously updated offender knowledge of State and Federal Medicaid Policy and Law.

NOTE: “See Resume” is not acceptable to show work history.A detailed working knowledge and understanding of the laws policies and regulations for offenders in the NCDAC/DOP regarding Medicaid. A strong knowledge base of medical and mental conditions: and the elements necessary to meet the federal mandated definition of disability. Knowledge of administrative skills & social work principles, techniques, and practices: their application to individual and group case work.Knowledge of psychosocial, socioeconomic, behavioral problems and their treatment.Knowledge of governmental and private community resources.Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies.General knowledge of medical technology, disease processes, and their treatment.Skill in establishing and applying techniques to assess psychosocial, behavioral and psychological aspects of offender’s problems.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative chain of command members of caseload and their families and also with civic, medical, social and religious organizations.Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to plan and execute work.At least two years of Medicaid experience.
