About the Role:
LightFeather is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and tech-savvy individual to support our HR operations, business development (BD) efforts, and Agile project workflows. This is a full-time, in-person position in Alexandria, VA offering hands-on experience in federal contracting, compliance, and Agile processes. It is perfect for a self-starter eager to grow in a fast-paced environment and contribute across departments.
Core Responsibilities:
Administrative & HR Support
Collect and scan incoming mail; log items and route per compliance processes
Track and follow up on state compliance tasks via email and trackers
Monitor HR-related inboxes and ensure timely response or routing
Coordinate with employees for timesheet submissions and expense report completions
Book travel, track expenses, and organize digital drives and files
Schedule meetings, collect required signatures, and ensure action items are tracked to completion
Business Development & Contracts Support
Collaborate with leadership to build and maintain BD pipeline
Review eBuy and GovWin daily to identify opportunities and update the pipeline
Automate opportunity alerts via scheduled email communications
Draft and complete RFQ checklists and RFI responses
Coordinate partner calls and ensure executive attendance
Draft BLUF summaries and set up internal opportunity review meetings
Identify 8(a) opportunities and support targeted outreach efforts
Manage TAs and NDAs, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking signatures
Conduct initial contract reviews for fairness and recommend improvements
Agile & Project Support
Attend bi-weekly Sprint Planning meetings; assist with user story assignment and story pointing
Draft user stories and backlog items in coordination with project managers and developers
Follow up with developers to close out completed stories and keep Jira updated
Support the creation of Sprint Review slides and sprint reporting documentation
Sit with internal stakeholders to gather feedback on tools, and create decision point analyses for tool evaluations
Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications:
Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree
0–2 years of experience in administrative, HR, business development, or Agile environments
Familiarity with Agile, user stories, or sprint planning is a big plus (but not required—will train)
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent writing skills
Comfortable working with data, documents, and light technical language
Experience with Google Workspace
Exposure to Jira, Confluence, or GovWin is a plus
Must be reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
