Job Description:The Administrative Clerk is responsible for providing clerical assistance to the department. Job duties include, but not limited to, the following: printing and sorting documents for mailing, updating inventory, and daily reports; and distributing work.

Job Responsibilities

Print/Mail Mis-Directed claims to health plans. Screen, date-stamp, sort, and count all incoming and outgoing mail. Generate letters for mailing.

Complete daily reports and mailing duties.

Scan live claims and certified mail/mail backs. Photocopy various documents.

Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned during periods of fluctuating workloads.

Required Experience

Minimum years of experience required – 0–1

Licenses and certifications required – None.

Basic understanding of and familiarity with various Microsoft applications. Proficient in Word and Excel.

Must type at least 8K-12K keystrokes on a personal computer/keyboard with 90% accuracy.

Able to sort and file/distribute accurately.

Understanding of basic office equipment use including copy machines, fax machine, personal computers, multi-line phones, and postage meter.

Required Education

Minimum level of education required – High School/GED

Hourly: $20.00 – $22.00
