ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR 1-3 Jobs in Opelousas, LA at State of Louisiana
All camps share a common purpose: creating an environment where Young Life staff bring Christ to life by creatively presenting the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Speaking clearly from the Scriptures, camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ, the nature of humanity, the work of Christ on the cross, the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.

Camping Commitment Statement
As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel, demonstrate a basic understanding of Young Life’s ministry strategy and participate in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God’s love for them.
Mission & Authority
Through both formal and direct experience, learn how to create and then participate in an environment where guests, staff and volunteers are well cared for using cornerstones of administrative systems, service and hospitality. This is an entry level and training position.
ESSENTIAL PREREQUISITES FOR ALL STAFF MEMBERS (FROM YOUNG LIFE’S BYLAWS – ARTICLE VII):
“Because of Young Life’s exclusive Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and in these Bylaws, and to reflect what has always been and will continue to be the position of Young Life, specifically the Christian belief that each and every employee and volunteer of the corporation should minister as a servant of God with the primary responsibility of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, as such, is an integral part of the Christian mission and ministry of the corporation, Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith. Therefore, employees and volunteers of Young Life, during working and nonworking hours, shall: (i) be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization; (ii) refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life, and (iii) abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.”
Essential Duties:
Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
Exhibit a joyful, empathetic and optimistic attitude and faith in Christ.
Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.
With direction from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan.
Participate in a culture where the spiritual formation of administrative volunteers is a priority and a responsibility.
Actively contribute in administration department prayer and devotional times, as well as all camp staff worship and prayer times.
Interpersonal Relationships: Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community.

Maintain healthy relationships with administrative department, serving wholeheartedly alongside other members of the team.
Assist other departments with administrative tasks as needed
Partner with summer assigned teams and seek to help them with ministry goals while at camp.
Assist with leadership of summer volunteers serving in the camp office.
Attentive Hospitality: Equip servant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff and vendors, through Christ-like service.
Demonstrate a posture of service that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems.
Offer hospitality to all camp guests, whether in-person, over the telephone or in writing
Engage in selection, communication and arrival logistics for summer guests, including volunteers, adult guests, medical volunteers and summer interns.
Maintain professional written and verbal communication to serve staff, guests and vendors at camp
Comprehensive Stewardship: Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry.
Exemplify a posture of financial stewardship and integrity
Model a posture of comprehensive stewardship of the camping administration department to administrative volunteers and interns.
Exemplify continued stewardship of time, personal integrity, service, spiritual devotion, compassion, work ethic and commitment to the ministry.
Develop skills needed to act on behalf of the Administrative Manager in all aspects of the camp accounting process, including collection and reconciliation of petty cash accounts
Assist with monthly financial/statistical reports as directed by administrative manager
Manage office supplies and maintain office cleanliness and organization; work with vendors to secure cost-effective solutions to high-demand items; coordinate with other departments to streamline office supplies orders
Talent Development: Through a consistent and accountable evaluation process, we identify and provide opportunities for staff in continuing education, leadership development, career-pathing and cross-training.
Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life experience.
Qualifications and Experience Required For The Job:
Fluency with Microsoft Office applications, and an ability to learn and use all Young Life internal systems
Demonstrate understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy, and mission
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compelling desire to help people.
Positive attitude and shows initiative.
Ability to manage time of self and others.
Ability to find answers to questions.
Able to perform under stress, noise and interruptions.

Job Specific Working Conditions:
LoneHollow Ranch is located deep in the scenic Texas Hill Country and is under three hours to both Austin and San Antonio. Rich in natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and culture, the Texas Hill Country is a wonderful place to live and work. LoneHollow Ranch offers year-round camping and hosts every brand of Young Life camping.
Applying for a position at LoneHollow Ranch means that you are signing up to help build and develop a Young Life camping program in Texas while working earnestly to maintain the highest standards of excellence that Young Life is known for. Working at LoneHollow Ranch will require flexibility, innovation, and determination in order to solve problems, build and enhance operational systems, and work collaboratively and in unity with multiple teams.
This position also works closely with our Guest Group Communications Coordinator and will assist with details pertaining to guest group communications.
From the months of June through August, we work a 6-day work week with one day off per camp week, not always the same day of the week. The remainder of the year is a five-day work week.
This is a dynamic role that often offers opportunities to collaborate with other departments, connect with field staff, and work as part of a cohesive team.
Notes:
Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
