ABRISA TECHNOLOGIES (www.abrisatechnologies.com) designs, manufactures, and distributes precision optical coating solutions and custom fabricated glass optical products via two divisions: Abrisa Industrial Glass, located in Santa Paula, CA and ZC&R Coatings for Optics located in Torrance, CA. Both companies are in the Los Angeles metropolitan area with 125,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing floor space and approximately 150 employees.

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Admin Assistant to join the team in Santa Paula, CA. We offer a competitive Hourly wage $19-$21 per hour ((Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data)) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.

Purpose:

Under general supervision, acquires commodities, equipment, and services.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

This position will spend two hours each day assisting the General Manager with administrative duties. The remainder of time will be spent supporting the Purchasing department with following functions:

1. Placing purchase orders as directed from current established suppliers.

2. Making releases against blanket purchase orders.

3. Ordering per supplied/approved requisitions.

4. Create customer furnished purchase orders per procedure.

5. Monitor Inventory levels when placing purchase orders to verify needs.

6. All details on previous purchase orders for same product reviewed and questioned for accuracy.

7. Learning Purchase order catalog codes and identifications.

8. Facilitates the Purchasing Process by providing information and technical assistance to end users regarding status and purchasing policies and procedures and serves as department liaison.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or

Knows and uses working knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures in performing a variety of duties in providing administrative support.

Performs work that is varied and moderately complex with assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

Minimum Qualifications (including Education):

Graduation from high school or equivalent, plus three (3) years of experience in general clerical/secretarial experience.

Any combination of education and/or work experience will substitute for minimum qualifications.

Physical Requirements:

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Work Environment:

The worker is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
PPE requirements: Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required when on production floor as a minimum. Other PPE may be required depending on area and specific functions.
