Salary Range ($45,000 – $46,000)

The Administrative Assistant (EI-SCA) assists the Service Coordinators in providing quality services to families enrolled in the Early Intervention Program. Provides administrative support services to external Program Coordinators and Service Coordinators.
Essential Functions
*Accurately collects referral information and enters information into the Statewide Broadcast System. * Assigns cases to Service Coordinators. * Maintains daily provider communication systems via the Statewide Broadcast System. * Data entry into system databases. * Creates, processes and maintains confidential client records. * Maintains accurate information on cases and regional providers in Statewide Broadcast System and Early Intervention Management System. * Copies, emails, faxes and mails portions of client’s files. * Files client record information in on-site and off-site facilities. * Provides services in a culturally competent manner.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Basic computer skills necessary/advanced preferred (Word, Excel)
Good organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to work effectively with families
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work with diverse populations; demonstration of cultural competence
Willingness and ability to work as a team member
Understanding of NJ Early Intervention philosophy and procedures
Successful completion of system training including orientation and procedural safeguards
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with others
Must be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephone
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Work Environment:
This is a remote position. A designated work area in home to ensure confidentiality is required. Occasionally travels to sites where traffic, weather, and other environmental conditions may be encountered.
