DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Administrative Officer 1 serves as Liaison for all human resource (HR) actions at the agency, working directly with Deputy Secretary, managers/supervisors, employees and commonwealth HR offices. Areas of responsibility will include carrying out a wide variety of administrative, logistical and confidential assignments which serve to assist in the management of various administrative agency programs. In addition, various special projects are assigned, such as All Staff Meetings, SECA, strategic planning coordination/monitoring, program and policy development, and responding to inquiries from various sources.

Our ideal candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. In addition, the candidate must exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and a professional presence.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Telework:This position also currently provides the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, for eligible employees.You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor’s degree;or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
