Watch Hill Yacht Club – Business Office Manager/Accounting Administrator
The WHYC is a seasonal private club operating from May through November, however, this is a full-time year-round position.
Education and/or Experience
Two- or Four-year degree in Business/Accounting.
Minimum of five years accounting or bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports.
Reports to: General Manager
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
Proficiency with computers, preferably Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as automated accounting systems. Jonas accounting software experience is highly preferred.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Must possess meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and be able to work independently.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and produce financial statements and assist in preparing yearly budgets.
Assist with Human Resources tasks such as onboarding new employees, processing weekly PR, and maintaining employee records.
Provide end-of-year documents for accountant including UBI analysis.
Job Summary
Responsible for all daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping tasks through trial balance including; A/R, A/P, preparation of financial reports, collections, tax filings, license renewals, audits, and bank reconciliations.
Provide support where needed to maintain the efficiency of all club operations.
Job Tasks/Duties
Maintain A/R processes, including monthly statement processing, payments and collections. The direct point of contact for members with billing questions.
Review and verify invoices for A/P processing, purchase orders, contracts and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections and reconciliation statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
Maintains employees’ time and attendance, personnel files and processes payroll and tax reports.
Administers the billing and collection of membership dues.
Provides administrative support as needed.
