What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. This is an at will position. The target hiring range for this position is $20.76 – $25.59/hr. based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
This position requires in-office presence 4 days a week based on operational needs, with occasional evening events. You will be expected to work on-site at the District 11 Office in Denver on designated days.
What You’ll Do
The Office of Councilmember Stacie Gilmore, District 11, is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant with excellent interpersonal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. This individual is a self-starter with an inherent high work ethic. The desired candidate should be capable of maintaining a positive attitude in a high pressure, confidentiality-sensitive and fast-paced, politically charged environment.
Specifically, as the Administrative Support Assistant III you will:
Engage with community members through various channels, including in-person meetings, phone calls, email, and social media
Provide general information to the public, clarify rules and procedures, answer inquiries, and resolve issues within established guidelines
Handle incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
Manage calendars and coordinate scheduling for meetings and events
Utilize various software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools to complete tasks and maintain organization, with the ability to learn new platforms as needed
Collaborate with the office team to plan and execute community events and outreach initiatives
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high level of organization. They should have experience working in an office environment, handling administrative tasks, and providing support to a team. The ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, adapt to shifting deadlines, and approach projects with initiative is essential.

Commitment to public service and engaging with the community
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to respond promptly to inquiries and requests
Ability to multitask, manage priorities effectively, and adapt to changing demands
Dependable team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SharePoint
Bilingual skills in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese are a plus
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of clerical experience
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement
