JOB FUNCTION:
Under direct supervision of the administrator, the administrative assistant will provide the clerical, accounting, and personal skills necessary to manage and maintain complex office functions and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires initiative, excellent multi-tasking and organization skills, good judgment, attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills, the ability to follow directions, and handle routine/repetitive matters
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree in business/accounting required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Passing grades on required accounting, mathematics, and clerical assessments.
Ability to perform professional accounting tasks with a minimum of supervision.
Knowledge and competence in the use of computers including word processing, spreadsheets and data base programs; willingness to upgrade skills as necessary.
Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records as required.
Ability to prepare and submit complex fiscal reports to various governmental agencies in a timely manner.
Possess strong math skills.
Ability to follow complex oral and written directions.
Ability to meet the public and to develop and maintain positive working relationships with office co-workers, professional and non-professional staff and all units of the school district.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Record of excellent, reliable attendance.
Exhibit high degree of initiative.
Such other qualifications as may be determined.
