WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

This is a full-time, on-site role based at our High Bluff office, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PT, due to the nature of the work.

The role also requires travel to other local San Diego offices as needed. Additionally, staying later once a month is required for team-building or social events.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Receives, welcomes, and directs visitors, employment applicants, vendors and customers to appropriate locations and internal staff. Maintains a visitors’ log and issues visitor badges. Provides administrative, clerical, and general office support for the Company. Works closely with and reports to Supervisor, Administration.

Administrative Assistants at Tandem are also responsible for:

Greeting visitors, managing the front desk, issuing badges, and directing guests to the appropriate contacts.
Welcoming candidates, ensuring NDAs are completed, and coordinating arrivals with Talent Acquisition.
Monitoring and prepping conference rooms daily to ensure cleanliness, supplies, and availability..
Supporting internal teams by staying informed on company events and serving as an employee resource.
Handling incoming/outgoing mail and packages, and preparing shipping documents for UPS/USPS/FedEx.
Assisting with office amenities by stocking kitchens and supply areas across multiple buildings.
Coordinating meeting logistics, including placing food orders and arranging pick-ups.
Providing event support for team-building days, special lunches, and company-wide celebrations.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and creating reports or presentations.
Ensuring work is performed in compliance with HIPAA, safety guidelines, and other company policies.
Traveling to other local San Diego offices as needed, and staying later once per month for required social or team-building events.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

High School diploma
Some post-secondary education preferred
1 year experience in customer facing role

EXTRA AWESOME:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly.
Collaborative team player who works well with others across departments.
Detail-oriented with a proven ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Skilled at multitasking and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $19.00 – $20.60 per hour.. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus and a robust benefits package.

You’ll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (with accrual starting on day 1) and you will have access to a 401k plan with company match as well as an Employee Stock Purchase plan. YOU SHOULD KNOW:
