Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental or medical receptionist roles and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
– Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
– Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar
– Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
– Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
– Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
– Handle billing inquiries and process payments
– Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
– Manage office supplies and inventory
– Follow up with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and referrals
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a dental receptionist is required
– Proficiency in dental software Dentrix Ascend is required
– Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
– Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
– Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
– Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle multiple lines
– Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
– Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
