Job/Department Summary:

Working independently under general supervision, serves as the aide to the Program Chair and is responsible for performing essential administrative duties for the Computer Animation and Game Development (CAGD) Program at Chico State. The position organizes and oversees the activities of the department while fielding questions from prospective students, parents and the general public. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing and assisting with tasks related to budget, travel, purchasing, office/administrative/faculty/student support, course scheduling/enrollment/reporting, student hiring and payroll processes, and event scheduling. Work is supervised in terms of overall accomplishments.

Required Education and Experience:

This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

Bilingual

One year administrative support experience working in an academic department

Working knowledge of applicable University infrastructure, policies, and procedures

Two years recent and progressively responsible clerical experience in a busy office setting

Time Base:Full-time

Pay Plan:11/12 (July off)

Work Schedule:Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.

CSU Classification Salary Range:$40,476 – $63,612 per year.
