Full Job Description

Duties

This position serves as an Administrative Support Assistant in the High Plains District within the Bureau of Land Management.

This position performs a full range of administrative support functions, as well as standardized and non-standardized clerical assignments to include: Fleet, Property/Supply, Records, Travel ,Filing, Facilities, and Procurement.

Direct Deposit Required.

Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination.

Qualifications

You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.

Knowledge and skill in the use of software and keyboarding for data entry, email, and report generation, especially Microsoft software.

Skill in the use of standard computers and office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Superior work ethic and a positive, “can do” attitude.

Be self-motivated.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Education: 4 years above high school. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate undergraduate education.
