Administrative Support Assistant Jobs in New Hyde Park, NY at Northwell Health

Position Summary: Acts as the receptionist for the Human Resources department. Must adhere to Company Core Values and Standards on a daily basis. This position is part of a multi-person administrative team. The ideal candidate is proactive, has strong customer service skills, is extremely organized, and works well with a team.
Pay Rate: Starting at $21.00

Qualifications:

Previous receptionist or administrative experience preferred
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Ability to multi-task and organize
Sound judgment and willingness to ask questions / take direction
Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; knowledge of Canva helpful.
Must work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Expectations & Responsibilities:

Be a welcoming presence for visitors to the HR department
Handle and route phone calls for the main HR phone line
Provide general office filing support
Receive and process employment verifications
Assist with making nametags, time cards, gift cards, etc.
Process invoices for payment
Order supplies
Receive and distribute departmental mail
Assist employees with password resets
Assist as needed with departmental initiatives as needed
Upholds the core values and policies and procedures of the resort
All other duties as assigned

Essential Physical Requirements:

Must be able to reach, bend and stoop occasionally
Must be able to carry items up to 40lbs over moderate distances occasionally
Must be able to work in an office setting with tasks such as typing, answering phones, use of a computer for hours at a time
Must be able to verbally communicate with employees and managers one-on-one or by phone
Must be able to work on site to be available to employees for human resource assistance during office hours
