What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The pay range for this position is $20.26 – $25.59. This is an on-call position, which means it is an hourly role and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits.
Location
In this position you can expect to work on site at the District 3 Office at 1437 Bannock Street, Denver, five days per week, with an option for hybrid work later.
What You’ll Do
The office of Council President Jamie Torres is seeking a Administrative Support Assistant III to support the constituent, policy, and community impact work across Council District 3. This is an at-will and on-call position. Please note this position requires regular work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. This position is built around the core responsibilities of scheduling and constituent services. Social media skills are a plus. The Administrative Support Assistant for District 3 wears many hats and will pick up tasks in the below areas as needed.
Specifically, as the Administrative Support Assistant you will:
Engage with community members in various ways: in-person, phone, email, social media
Provide the public with general and/or explanatory information, explain and clarify rules, processes, and procedures, answer questions, and resolve a variety of problems within a defined scope
Manage inbound phone calls
Calendar management and scheduling
Utilize a variety of computer programs and apps to complete tasks and stay organized including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc. and be able to learn how to use new programs
Work with the office team to plan events and outreach to community
Perform other related duties as assigned

Bilingual communication skills, preferably English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: Two (2) years of clerical experience
