Physical Requirements
Light physical activities and efforts required to work in a standard office setting including filing, working at a desk for long periods of time, and lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 10 lbs. Also requires vision to read printed materials and materials on a computer screen as well as hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking an Administrative Support Associate to provide executive level administrative support to the office of the Vice President/CHRO in Human Resources. This position will be responsible for special projects, communication management, program management, relationship management and customer service, as well as executive office management.
Primary responsibilities include:
Performing a variety of tasks to ensure the flow of accurate and timely information, including establishing and maintaining an annual calendar of recurring communications and events, managing contact information for key communications internal and external to the division and the University, developing and sending correspondence on behalf of the Vice President/CHRO.
Leading designated projects, work groups and committees, proactively managing timelines, establishing project scope and requirements, developing project plans and organizing/managing all resources to ensure successful completion of projects. Examples in this function include conducting benchmarking of other organizations HR policies and programs and other research activities, developing tables/charts/reports summarizing findings, coordinating review of legislative bills within tight deadlines, participation in/management of key HR committees to include establishing agendas, preparing information and taking minutes.
Providing executive office management to include scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, ordering supplies and paying bills.
Building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with colleagues within HR and University, serving as a key point of contact for the office of the Vice President/CHRO and redirect matters to appropriate HR director. This position will respond to a variety of HR inquiries by answering questions directly or working with appropriate area/subject matter expert to provide an accurate, appropriate response.
