Granby Public Schools is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to support both the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. This full-time, in-person position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Central Office, supporting executive-level functions, coordinating Board of Education responsibilities, and assisting with district initiatives such as teacher evaluation, professional development, and compliance reporting. Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent provides high-level administrative support to the district’s top leadership. This role ensures efficient office operations, professional communication, and accurate documentation. Key educational operations including meeting scheduling and management, compliance reporting and alignment to state requirements including teacher evaluation systems, and the development of professional learning systems are vital to this role. The position also serves as Clerk to the Board of Education and is a public facing role

Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
Manage confidential and routine correspondence
Organize and coordinate calendars, meetings, travel, and appointments.
Maintain filing and digital recordkeeping systems.
Respond to inquiries from staff, families, and community members with professionalism and discretion.
Liaison with town departments and officials; maintain an understanding of municipal structures and cultivate strong working relationships to support effective collaboration and district operations.
Support efficient execution of meetings including invitation, agenda and minute preparation and coordination with facilities, attendees and other supports.
Assist with budget document preparation and distribution.
Coordinate and complete state and federal reporting requirements (e.g., PSIS).
Assist with management of the PowerSchool Records platform for teacher evaluation.
Coordinate professional development activities, including scheduling, registration, materials preparation, and attendance tracking.
Support district-wide curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives as needed.
Enter and process purchase orders in accordance with district procedures; track and reconcile expenditures as needed.
Support the efficient day-to-day operations of the Central Office, including supply management, vendor coordination, and facilities requests.
Assist with administrative tasks related to grant-funded programs, including documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting support.
Board of Education Support
Serve as Clerk to the Board of Education.
Prepare agendas, meeting minutes and reports.
Ensure compliance with district policy and state requirements related to Board operations.
General Duties
Participate in the planning and execution of district-level events and initiatives.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Prior experience providing administrative support at the executive level.
Experience with Student Information Systems a plus
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and data management platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with public education systems is preferred.

Salary Range : $74,000 – $85,000 annually
