Position: Admitting & Health Records Clerk – (205544)

Location: Port Hardy

The Admitting & Health Records Clerk, within a multi-site operation, performs admitting, switchboard, transcription, records processing, cashier, and reception duties, along with various clerical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

, Training, and Experience

Grade 12, graduation from an approved program in medical transcription, and one year’s recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities

Keyboard at 60 wpm

Operate related equipment

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Deal effectively with others

Knowledge of medical terminology

Physically capable of performing the duties of the position
