Position Overview: Administrator – Retirement Community
We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on leader to guide the operations of our retirement home with compassion, integrity, and a sharp eye for detail. As our Administrator, you’ll play a key role in shaping a nurturing environment where residents, including those with dementia and requiring community-based supports, receive top-quality care and attention. Your leadership will ensure our home runs smoothly — from regulatory compliance to financial oversight — and that every resident feels respected, safe, and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the daily operations of the retirement residence, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and care standards.

Create and implement individualized care plans that reflect each resident’s needs, goals, and dignity.

Support, mentor, and manage staff across all departments, fostering a culture of accountability and kindness.

Oversee financial management — from budgeting to resource planning — to maintain fiscal health while prioritizing resident care.

Ensure safe and accurate medication management processes are followed by clinical teams.

Build and maintain a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages resident engagement and satisfaction.

Work in close partnership with families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care services.

Keep meticulous records related to care delivery, staffing, and facility operations.

What You Bring:

Leadership experience in a retirement home, long-term care facility, or similar healthcare setting.

Strong understanding of financial management and operational efficiency in a healthcare environment.

Deep knowledge of dementia care, long-term care planning, and home and community-based services.

Proven ability to lead teams, inspire excellence, and support ongoing professional development.

Outstanding communication skills — equally comfortable speaking with families, staff, regulators, and healthcare partners.

A genuine passion for senior care and a commitment to enriching residents’ daily lives.

A relevant degree or certification in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 per year
