Job Description
BCS Allegient has a 35-year history of helping government, research, and private sector clients implement their programs and missions to achieve success. We offer a breadth of professional support services in the areas of business management, communications, systems engineering, analysis, mission execution, and organization performance. BCS Allegient is currently hiring for an Executive Correspondence Analyst to support our team at the Department of Energy in Washington, DC.
- Salary range: $75K-$85K
- Work site requirements: 4 days a week, onsite at DOE-Forrestal in Washington, DC
We are seeking an individual to provide Executive Correspondence (EC) support at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The position requires strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail. The candidate must be highly organized, motivated and a self-starter; possess excellent proofreading and editing skills; be capable of providing quick-turnaround support in a dynamic environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process and update incoming Congressional, intergovernmental, and public correspondence, including maintaining correspondence into electronic document online correspondence and concurrence system (eDocs).
- Review, proofread and edit daily correspondence addressed to management, including proofing final communication.
- Review actions (memorandums, documents) signed by DOE office senior leadership; perform copy editing for grammar, clarity, consistency and adherence to style and formatting preferences.
- Manage, compile, and track technical Congressional reports from the Program Offices and field sites, including all aspects of the correspondence life-cycle process.
- Update and close out internal correspondence actions and packages.
- Work closely with program offices to process and review urgent actions for concurrence.
- Obtain external program concurrence on relevant office packages and correspondence.
- Support program offices and Executive Secretariat (ES) who prepare actions for signature, including annual reports and letters signed by the Secretary.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience that is relevant to the position; knowledge of DOE and EC operations and processes is a plus.
- Experience with eDocs and Corr Track document records management systems is desired.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS SharePoint tools.
- Ability to work both independently and in a structured team environment alongside federal and other technical services support contractors.
