Salary: Starting rate is $19.52. Pay increases are dependent on length of service, advancement in the position, and other contractual factors.

Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to the tenants, property managers, contractors, and the internal team. This position involves:

Answering incoming calls and greeting customers.

Data entry, record keeping, and filing.

Ordering supplies and managing the AAHC website.

Entering work orders and reviewing applications for completeness and accuracy for our housing programs (HCV, PBV, RAD, and VASH).

Providing information to prospective applicants.

Additional Responsibilities

Coordinating the customer service aspect of the Housing Commission and/or front office.

Developing customer relationships by understanding and anticipating customer needs, prioritizing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction.

Performing administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, composing and distributing correspondence, and preparing documents.

Providing general front office support including answering telephones and maintaining contact information.

Operating standard office equipment and organizing information.

Maintaining physical and electronic documents according to specified procedures.

Organizing data to answer questions and create reports for management decisions.

Answering questions related to municipal programs or processes.

Supporting others in the use and maintenance of designated hardware and software.

Training and Experience Required

HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

1-2 years of office experience/customer service or related field.
