This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week.

Summary of

Duties

:

Under general supervision of the Covenant Administration Manager, performs a wide variety of tasks in the Covenant Administration Department. Performs technical and clerical administrative duties required to operate the applications unit, including meeting with the public, responding to inquiries related to covenants, providing preliminary review of plans, reviewing property improvement applications, determining required authorizations, collecting fees, and maintaining accurate computer records.

Incumbents will routinely answer questions regarding covenant enforcement and application requirements for the public, architects, engineers, and contractors, and do related work as required by the supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide primary customer service, administrative, operational, and staff support for the Covenant Administration application unit.

Receive office visitors and telephone calls; provide comprehensive and technical information about residential standards, covenants, policies, programs, functions, and procedures; assist the public with application and permit procedures.

Perform preliminary review of application forms, supporting materials, and plans upon submittal to evaluate and verify requirements.

Prepare and submit activity statistical reports and generate computer reports.

Establish, update, and maintain information retrieval and tracking systems.

Gather, organize, and summarize data; maintain and update computer files and databases.

Perform special projects, prepare reports, correspondence, informational materials, and documents. Operate office equipment and use Microsoft Office suite.

Possess knowledge of Covenants and Residential Standards for each association to assess and respond to inquiries and applications. Have an overview knowledge of the International Residential Code.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to:

Read building plans and surveys preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

One (1) year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of responsible, fast-paced office support work performing clerical, customer service, problem solving, technical, and administrative duties is preferred.

Licenses and

Certifications:

Must possess or obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days of employment and meet driver safety policy requirements.

Computer

Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite/applications.
