JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for handling front office reception and clerical duties in a medical clinic including greeting visitors (patients and others), patient check in/out, answering phones, preparing schedules, clinic opening and closing procedures and otherwise ensuring contributing to the smooth running and positive environment of the clinic.
This position has no direct reports. *
* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** ***
* • Greet/welcome every patient.
• Patient check in duties
• Patient check out duties
• Update/verify patient information.
• Maintain the smooth flow of
communication
between patient, provider, medical assistant, and all clinic staff.
• Provide assistance/information to patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common patient areas
• Schedule preparation
• Payment collection and documentation as required.
• Documentation of money kept in office.
• Appointment scheduling for multiple services
• All opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Follow HIPAA regulations as directed.
• Follow all policies and procedures as written with integrity and honesty.
• Create an environment in the workplace which coincides with the values and mission statement of Pain Doctor *

REQUIREMENTS

Education
& Experience, Knowledge/Understanding
• High school diploma or general
education
degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education
and experience
• Previous Customer service experience
Skills
• Excellent oral, written, and listening
communication skills

• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor
• Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Proficient in the use of EHR systems *
