This position will be based in Wilmington, DE.
As the Ashland Specialty Ingredients Safety Program Manager (Americas), you will provide safety leadership, functional expertise, direct assistance and oversight to the Ashland Specialty Ingredients business. This includes ASI chemical manufacturing sites, laboratories and offices.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing safety expertise and guidance for all ASI Americas locations and organizations, with direct interface to business and supply chain management.
Participation in the ASI North America operations team and facilitating the ASI EHS managers meetings.
Providing safety training – including developing content and delivery.
Heavy emphasis on process safety management, loss prevention, and chemical operations safety practice guidance/expertise.
Subject Matter Expert for various safety areas.
Oversight of compliance with OSHA and Ashland Safety requirements,
Process Safety Management, and other regulatory requirements.
Providing safety engineering design guidance and ASI capital project support.
Incident reporting, investigation, analysis and corrective action communication/implementation
Safety metrics analysis & publication
Safety risk assessments & audits
On call safety-related incident response
