Our Review & Fair Practices division is looking for a detail-oriented assistant. If you’re a self-starter, service-oriented, and enjoy helping internal and external clients, as well as performing various administrative tasks, consider joining us for this 4-month temporary opportunity.

How you’ll make a difference: You’ll provide us with your excellent skills in administration and customer service.

Where you’ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.

What you’ll do

Initiate new reviews; acknowledge all reviews by letter; determine whether the contents of the review application forms or letters meet department and statutory requirements; take appropriate action and follow up to gain information as necessary; support the processing of files to decision ready state; and facilitate bring forwards.

Monitor and complete actions on inquiries that come to the Review Division on a rotational basis.

Organize meetings as requested by review officers including booking facilities, making travel arrangements, scheduling interpreters and/or security when required, and confirming dates, times, and location with all parties involved.

Receive, prepare, scan, and index incoming mail and correspondence.

Your background and experience

A minimum of grade 12 education.

Type a minimum of 45 words per minute.

Use Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently.
