Job Summary
MUST LIVE IN FLORIDA
Applies appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing.
(Remote on weekends)
Required Qualifications
Completion of basic introductory coding courses including ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills.
Coding certification by American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or certification must be obtained within a time-frame agreed by management.
Mandatory Education
HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Emergency Care Center and Urgent Care Center coder for weekend shift Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday. Hours are flexible.
