POSITION OVERVIEW
The Audiology Clinical Coordinator supports the Licensed Hearing Aid Clinician(s) in performing routine tasks and duties, allowing the Clinician(s) to focus on evaluative, diagnostic, management, and treatment responsibilities aligned with their education and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning and checking of hearing aids, minor repairs of hearing aids, and processing hearing aid repairs to manufacturers.
Maintain knowledge and monitor Clinician schedules to assist when needed (orders, repairs, late appointments, etc.).
Counsel patients on the use, cleaning, and maintenance of hearing aids and accessories as directed by Clinicians.
Process hearing aid orders by filling out appropriate paperwork and/or calling manufacturers.
Maintain inventories, proactively order, and stock hearing aids, parts, supplies, and necessary equipment.
Act as a communication liaison between Clinicians, patients, and manufacturers as needed in relation to hearing aids.
Requirements
EDUCATION
, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 1-year administrative or customer service experience.
Minimum 3-5 years in the Audiology field (preferred).
Knowledge & Skills
Intermediate-Advanced level ability in the Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate and articulate complex information simply.
Ability to take initiative to learn new procedures.
Desire to work with technology (hearing instruments, assistive listening devices).
Ability to work in a changing environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills.
Compassion towards a diverse patient population (children, adults, elderly patients).
