Summary
My client, a financial/mortgage is looking for a Benefit admin, this role will be assisting in the implementation and administration of benefit plans and programs, as well as ensuring effective communication with all the employees.
Type: 3 – 6 months temp (possible hire after)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid or Remote
Pay Rate: $ 21/hr + benefits.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5pm flexible
FUNCTIONS
- Open enrollment support — Partner with vendors and the Benefits Manager on HRIS setup, testing, reporting, and employee communication.
- Employee benefits assistance — Provide customer service, answer benefit questions, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
- Benefits processing — Manage enrollments for new hires, terminations, life events, and medical support orders; maintain accurate benefit records.
- Invoice auditing — Audit and submit monthly carrier and vendor invoices to Accounts Payable.
- Reporting & data auditing — Create recurring and ad hoc reports; audit HRIS and vendor data feeds regularly.
- Wellbeing program support — Assist with planning, implementing, and administering wellness initiatives with external vendors.
- Dependent verification — Review and approve documentation for dependent eligibility.
- Leave of absence coordination — Track premiums, send notifications, ensure accurate LOA documentation, and coordinate updates with Payroll and IT.
- Workers’ compensation support — Contact injured employees, collect paperwork, document and file claims, and assist with investigations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field or equivalent Experience
- 1-2 yr in benefit administration or human resources related role(s).
- High level of proficiency with data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Previous experience in medium/large organizations with >1,000 employees preferred.
- Highly analytical and Highly detail oriented,
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple task
- Intermediate level knowledge of HRIS systems and HR data, UKG preferred.
- General level knowledge of state and federal laws governing health benefits plans.
