Position Description :
If you desire an opportunity to help the Navy and Marine Corps, Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a mid-level administrative assistant, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain, maintain or trasfer your Secret clearance post employment.
Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our high-performing Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation (NASO) provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. Serco supports the U.S. Navy as a prime contractor providing amphibious warfare and expeditionary professional support services. In this role, you will:
Provide administrative support to the Program Office that includes, but is not limited to, processing travel orders, coordinating calendars and administering general correspondence.
Assist with coordinating meetings and Video Teleconferences (VTCs).
Provide general administrative services to include records management, drafting messages, instructions, policies, procedures, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have;
A High School Diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications, including those with less years of experience, will be considered.
A current DoD security clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance after hire.
United States (U.S.) citizenship.
Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
Additional desired experience and skills:
7+ years relevant experience in processing travel orders, coordinating calendars and administering general correspondence for a DoD Program Office is desired
Microsoft Office & Defense Travel System (DTS) proficiency is desired.
In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $54,165.33 to $81,248.56; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
