Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the billing process, including generating, reviewing, and distributing client invoices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and ensure timely processing of invoices.
Communicate with clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Collaborate with attorneys and other staff to ensure proper billing practices and compliance with firm policies.
Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of billing software and systems.
Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial and client information.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in legal billing or a similar role within a law firm.
Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience working in an AmLaw 200 law firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Familiarity with legal billing software such as Elite, Aderant, or similar systems.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
Knowledge of electronic billing (e-billing) processes and platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 Annually
