Role Description The Branch Assistant role at Daraz is a full-time, on-site position based in Negombo. The Branch Assistant supports daily branch operations, including handling customer inquiries, assisting with order processing, coordinating pickups and deliveries, and resolving basic service issues. The role includes maintaining accurate records, updating systems with order and inventory details, and ensuring that branch processes follow company guidelines and quality standards. The Branch Assistant also collaborates with the branch team to improve service efficiency, supports promotional activities, and provides clear communication between customers, riders, warehouse staff, and other internal stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle face-to-face and phone interactions professionally.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and data entry in online systems or POS tools.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced branch environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative in resolving operational or customer issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, follow standard operating procedures, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Prior experience in retail, logistics, e-commerce, or branch operations is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification at secondary school level; a diploma or degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Comfort with working on-site in Negombo and availability to work full-time, including weekends or extended hours when required.
