About Us:
Lamey Electric, Inc. is a reputable electrical contracting company specializing in commercial building, traffic signal, street light, and lift station projects. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to our office staff and field personnel. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception and Office Management:
Answer and direct phone calls
Greet and assist visitors
Manage office supplies and equipment
Maintain a clean and organized office environment
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Enter and maintain accurate records in company databases
File and organize documents, both electronic and physical
Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases as needed
Project Support:
Assist with project scheduling and coordination
Prepare and submit project documents (e.g., proposals, contracts, submittals)
Track project progress and deadlines
Communication:
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
Other Administrative Duties:
Assist with payroll and expense reports (as needed)
Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports
Handle other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Experience in Administrative experience role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Detail-oriented and accurate
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the construction industry; electrical industry a plus
Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks, Knowify, etc)
Experience with scheduling software (Knowify)
