Business Office Manager – Novi, Michigan Jobs in Novi, MI at Luminary Hospice

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Chippewa Valley is looking for a responsible part-time Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our Executive Director, assisting in daily office needs, and NAMI Chippewa Valley’s general administrative activities. This is a new position, and the duties and responsibilities will be determined by the Executive Director. If you have previous experience as a secretary or executive administrative assistant, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct phone calls if needed
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
Maintain contact lists
Provide general support to visitors
Manage our social media accounts, Facebook and Instagram
Perform tasks and activities as directed by the Executive Director

Requirements

Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
Proficiency in Google and MS Office (Canva, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
Schedule flexibility to be available as needed for activities and events throughout the year

Compensation/Benefits

· 10hrs per week to start, may need to be increased to 15hrs per week in the future

· $20/hr rate of pay, payroll done every 2 weeks

· No Health or Life Insurance or other benefits offered

· No PTO, Holiday or vacation pay. Coordinate with Executive Director for time off and vacations as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
