Role Description This is a part-time, entry-level Business Support Officer role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines office-based work and some work from home. The Business Support Officer will provide general administrative support, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and assisting with document preparation. The role will support diary and calendar management, meeting coordination, and follow-up actions for managers and project teams. The position will also involve basic finance-related tasks such as data entry, invoice tracking, and assisting with reporting. The Business Support Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders, respond to routine inquiries, and help ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Diary Management skills, with the ability to organize schedules, documents, and office workflows efficiently.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and a professional approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound Analytical Skills to review information, identify issues, and support basic problem-solving in day-to-day operations.
- Foundational Finance skills, such as handling data entry, invoice support, and assisting with simple financial reports.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent) and comfort working with digital tools and online collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Relevant certificate, diploma, or undergraduate studies in business, finance, administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) are advantageous.
- Interest in the infrastructure or construction sector and willingness to learn and grow in a supportive, professional team environment.
