Position: Call Center Member Service Specialist I- Full Time (9333)
Role
Receives incoming calls, chats, and responds to incoming mail. Determines the products, services, or resources the caller requires and assists with entering and reading applications. Provides direct support services to members or connects them with the appropriate staff.

Duties
And Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls, chats, and mail proficiently and accurately. Verify member identity, assess needs such as fee reversals, loan recasts, and account updates. Ensure proper assistance and call resolution.
Identify beneficial products/services, explain their value, and assist members with applications, enrollment, troubleshooting, and system navigation related to Virtual Branch, Bill Pay, and e-statements. Cross-sell and educate members on available products and services.
Perform member transactions including funds transfers, stop payments, card services, balances, loan payoff, and recurring payments, ensuring courteous and friendly service.
Assist with Online Banking, Bill Pay, and E-Statement setup and troubleshooting.
Support other departments and branches, including collections and merchant verifications, meeting 85% statistical goals.
Recognize account types and manage shares and accounts, including IRA, Trust, and Deceased accounts. Review and update internal card system for declines, fraud, and travel notations.
Perform other duties as assigned, complying with all policies, laws, and regulations including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
Experience
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including preparatory roles.
Education
/Certifications/Licenses
High school diploma or GED required.
Interpersonal Skills
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential. Requires personal contact for routine information exchange, advising, or referring.
Other Skills
Efficient and accurate with calculator, computer, and ten key. Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, clerical, communication, and sales skills required.
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary work, occasional lifting up to 5 lbs, ability to operate office equipment, and work on a computer for 6-8 hours. Ability to work extended hours, travel locally and nationally, and maintain reliable attendance.
Working Conditions
Indoor, climate-controlled environment with minimal noise.

Ability to work independently or in a team, follow instructions, communicate clearly, handle diverse personalities professionally, work under stress, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
