POSITIONPURPOSE:To coordinate all aspects of and provide administrative support for the care ministry team.
DIRECT REPORT:Director of Care
POSITION OUTCOMES/EXPECTATIONS:
Coordinate the Care process by operating as the gatekeeper for Care requests and ensuring the appropriate response and follow up from the assigned care team members are executed in a timely manner.
Manage the CPC member database starting with initial record creation to ongoing updates to ensure accurate data and serve as a resource for CCB
Manage the volunteers who support the care team needs such as elders, deaconesses and the diaconate.
Support the Care Commission with the monthly meeting scheduling and create the agenda in partnership with the Pastor of Care, Director of Care and assist the Chaplain with the monthly care report for the Executive Director
Coordinate funerals alongside the participating Pastor(s), Chaplain, and Bereavement Team point person:
1. Manage space reservations, coffee/water requests, signage, and follow up receipts for any church-related expenses.
2. Ensure that “Family Matters” includes both death information and visitation/service info goes out as soon as possible.
Oversee quarterly New Member Joining Days as well as the baptisms by managing the process and ensuring all required steps have been taken
Oversee the final list of potential new members at OHB campus and submit the names to the Care Commission for approval
Manage the birthday touches of members, along with birthday and prayer emails to staff.
Manage the meal team
Manage the Family Matters page. Ensure information is current and disseminated properly
Handle membership transfers, absentee follow up and exit process (loss of members) and report on these as needed
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Administrative office experience preferred
Work in a nonprofit or church setting valued
Skills and Abilities
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Strong organizational along with administrative skills
Strong written and interpersonalcommunication skills
Excellent working knowledge of database management and Microsoft Office (experience in church database management preferred)
Customer service oriented
Self-motivated, but with the ability to work in ateam environment
Requirements
All employees must commit to performing their duties in accordance with the stated mission andpurposeof the school, CPC Policies and Procedures Manual, CPC
101, and the Westminster Confession of Faith. All employees must be evangelical Christians and active members of an evangelical Christian church.
Membership at Christ Presbyterian Church is required
