Based at our new office in Oldham town centre, OL1.

We are looking a Claims Assistant to support our Personal Injury team. The role involves providing day-to-day admin and client support to fee earners, assisting with case management tasks, and acting as a first point of contact for clients and third parties.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who is interested in working within a busy legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls from clients, insurers, other solicitors and prospective new clients
  • Taking initial details from new clients and recording accurate information for potential new claims
  • Inputting and maintaining case information on the firm’s case management system
  • Assisting fee earners with general case handling administration
  • Chasing medical providers for medical records and reports
  • Liaising with insurers and other third parties to obtain updates on claims
  • Providing regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their claims
  • Preparing and sending correspondence as directed by fee earners
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, including scanning and allocating documents to files
  • Ensuring files and electronic records are kept organised and up to date
  • Providing general administrative support to the Personal Injury team as required

  • Confident using computers and case management systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience within a legal environment or personal injury claims is advantageous but not essential, as training may be provided for the right candidate.
