Responsibilities:
Management of shared in-boxes for the underwriting regions, including making sure each underwriting attorney/specialist has access, making sure proper automated response messages are being sent for each in-box, and monitoring the in-boxes to make sure underwriting requests are being processed by the underwriters to prevent back logs.
Coordinating the calendars/schedules of the underwriters by monitoring PTO time and presentation scheduling to make sure each region has enough underwriter coverage from week to week.
Approve underwriter PTO requests.
Assisting the regional heads of underwriting in preparing performance evaluation materials, including obtaining feedback from other stakeholders (Regional Managers).
Assisting in the scheduling of underwriting related conferences and presentations and possible attendance at such events.
Reviewing requests for sponsorships of conferences and presentations.
Management of memberships of land title associations and other underwriting related organizations.
Management of high liability requests from customers: assist underwriters who receive high liability requests in obtaining necessary approval and consideration of the purchase of reinsurance.
Scheduling and attending annual Legal Summit.
Scheduling of meetings with customers when necessary, including meetings to resolve underwriting requests, meetings with existing customers in connection with Regional managers and/or Sales Representatives to increase wallet share, and meetings with prospective customers in connection with Regional managers and/or Sales Representatives. May include direct meetings with customers.
Point of contact for underwriters for training and education events: works directly with Training and Education Department to schedule training and education events for customers, works with underwriters to create new presentations requested by Training and Education Department, works with underwriters to create content for any newsletters or publications requested by Training and Education Department.
Coordinates with underwriters for updated photographs and biographical summaries for Company website.
Coordinates with Regional Managers and Finance to process any customer requests received by underwriters for changes to rates or forms.
Supports General Counsel and regional heads of underwriting in preparing and distributing underwriting related bulletins, memos and alerts.
Support regional heads of underwriting and Chief Commercial Counsel in the development of state specific underwriting guidelines and a national endorsement manual.
Coordinates with Marketing Department in the preparation of underwriting related flyers, publications or materials requested by external or internal customers.

Qualifications:

College Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in the Real Estate / Title Insurance industry strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including follow-up on pending tasks
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations/customers
Minimum 3 years’ experience of experience in a similar role
Tech Savvy – strong PC skills, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and other basic software systems
Ability to work remotely with minimal travel
