Long Beach Community College has devised a special testing program designed to streamline the testing process for three (3) entry-level clerical positions.Minimum Requirements:Graduation from high school or its equivalent and increasing years of experience, based on each classification, as listed in the minimum qualifications section below. Established eligibility lists will be used to fill vacancies and temporary assignments throughout the District.

Based on your qualifications and performance on examination segments you may be placed on multiple eligibility lists for the classifications listed below.

CLERICAL LEVELS YOU WILL BE APPLYING FOR:

Office Assistant

Salary: Range 18 $3,748.19 – $4,596.19

Senior Office Assistant

Salary: Range 22 $4,150.16 – $5,095.09

Administrative Assistant

Salary: Range 27 $4,716.52 – $5,802.25

Advanced salary placement:Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
