This position will assist the administrative team with tasks related to inventory, organizing records, warehouse assistance, and answering and routing telephone calls.

Your specific responsibilities:
Maintains and organizes records, filing systems and inventory through the use of department tracking and data management file system.
Answers and routes telephone calls, takes messages and answers general questions. Greets guests and directs them to the appropriate personnel. Assists with scheduling meetings and processes office documentation as necessary. Operates a variety of standard office equipment such as fax, copiers, scanners, and computers. Prepares, organizes and distributes materials including mail, supplies and other office equipment.
Serves as back-up for unit training coordinator with inputting training requests/certificates and property custodian with maintaining and transferring of equipment, requesting decals, and conducting annual inventory scanning.
Prepares travel requests and reimbursements in accordance with policies and procedures.
Assist in emergency operation recovery efforts.
The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of:
* knowledge of general office procedures and practices; the techniques for effectively dealing with people; correct grammar usage; the techniques for effective communication.
Skills in:
* skill in providing customer service; determining priority for numerous phone calls; use of office equipment; using a personal computer (pc) and microsoft office application programs.
Ability to:
* ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; access, input and retrieve information from a computer database; follow instructions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; review data for accuracy and completeness.
Other job-related requirements:
Employee will be required to be responsive to emergency situations within a short timeframe and serve in the transportation emergency management team.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency.
