Title: COBRA Administration Specialist

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Schedule:rotating 7.5 hour shifts 8:00 – 4:30, 8:30 – 5:00, 9:30 – 6:00, Monday through Friday, Occasional OT

Summary

The COBRA Administration Specialist will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and new COBRA partners, as well as be involved in a range of responsibilities focused on all aspects of implementation, and service delivery to our key client, their members, and their needs. This role will work in partnership with the Director of Administration, Team Lead Administration Operations, and our COBRA Analyst. The COBRA Administration Specialist will serve as the primary resource for the implementation and maintenance of the clients’ COBRA Accounts and will be expected to provide excellent customer service, quality benefit administration, analytical, and technical support.

Minimum Qualifications

1+ years of Administration, Enrollment/Eligibility, HR, or other relevant healthcare account management experience within the health insurance, medical, or TPA environment

Experience with account management within COBRA Administration

2+ years of customer support experience

Desired Qualifications

Associate degree, Bachelor Degree, or higher preferred

Experience with WEX Benefits and/or COBRA platform preferred

2+ years of COBRA Administration experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent communications skills, both oral and written

Proficient data analytical skills.

Experience working with COBRA benefits.

Understanding of critical U.S. Department of Labor COBRA regulations and guidelines.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines and/or SLA’s.

Highly detailed with advanced knowledge to research and resolve complex issues and questions.

Responsive to high level concerns from internal or external clients via email, phone, or portal.

Strong attention to detail skills.

Essential Functions

Customer support for client and member calls.

Serve as the dedicated contact within the COBRA & Direct Billing department for assigned employer groups, managing key relationships with clients HR and benefits management teams and their broker/consultants.

Proactively identify and support client’s needs.

Be an expert & stay up to-date with WEX COBRA Portal functionality to assist clients and brokers with processes…
