Role Description The Community Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandalay, responsible for building and nurturing Talkware’s developer community. This role includes planning and organizing meetups, collaborative build sessions, and discussion events, as well as managing event logistics, communication channels, and attendee outreach. The Community Coordinator will engage with members regularly, gather feedback, and create initiatives that support shared learning, open discussions, and hands-on product building. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining an active presence in online and offline community spaces, coordinating with speakers and facilitators, promoting events, and ensuring that all participants feel welcome and supported. The role works closely with the core team to align community activities with Talkware’s mission and long-term vision.
Qualifications
- Strong community engagement and community organizing skills to foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse community members and partners.
- Experience with event planning and community outreach, including promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with tech or developer communities and interest in product building and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with social media, community platforms, and basic digital tools for coordination and communication.
- Prior experience in community coordination, program management, or related roles is an advantage.
- Comfortable working on-site in Mandalay and engaging with local stakeholders and organizations.
