As an Administrative Assistant, this role will provide overall administrative and operational support services to the Treatment programs located in Richland County. Serves as primary point of contact for patients, answers questions and concerns about treatment, provides information about service delivery and expectations, and supports treatment staff scheduling appointments. Serves as backup for front desk reception.

Full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: In-Office at Richland County location
Routinely 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Thurs, 8:00am-2:30pm, Friday
Position Overview
Patient Engagement
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Answers phone, answers questions and transfers calls as appropriate; greets patients and accompanying individuals and notifies appropriate staff.
Conducts re-engagement activities including submission of re-engagement letters and completing re-engagement phone calls.
Obtains/requests information relevant to admission criteria to help patients enter appropriate level of care/service.
Provides detailed information about the agency, its services, and enrollment criteria to interested parties
Treatment Administration
Performs routine administrative/clerical duties including typing, taking staff meeting minutes, telephone coverage, filing, copying, scheduling meetings, ordering and maintaining supplies and forms, creating patient orientation folders.
Serve as liaison to process and track referrals, contact patients to schedule appointments, follow-up with patients and referral sources via phone call or written correspondence when intake/assessment appointments are missed. Documents engagement activities in electronic health record.
Perform routine administrative/operational support duties including assist with orienting patients to program; assist clinicians with coordinating group activities and outings, assisting with UDS chain of custody as needed; assist with transportation orders and follow up reports.
Initiate and collect Quality of Life surveys; route and/or scan miscellaneous hard copy documents as needed for electronic record keeping.
Ensure waiting area is patient friendly and assist with special events to include: tv channels appropriate, snacks available, special event meals ordered, flyers and agendas created, and notices mailed.
MARGINAL DUTIES
Provides lunch and break coverage (as assigned) for front desk.
Provides assistance in other departments during staff leave.
Orders supplies as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
